    25 Pieces of wood

178 hardware pieces (screws, nails, etc..)

    2.5 hours of work

    1 Wobbly piece of furniture

I have put together other pieces of furniture (e.g. Ikea) and this is by far the most complex one that I have ever seen. Also, when you follow the instructions you’re left wondering if whoever wrote them had ever put together this baby changer.

I read a lot of reviews about this and other such products, I have seen that mostly people who had had bad experiences would come to write a review, I decided to change it as I have been so pleased with this product and the merchant (baby age) that I definitely would like to give them both a 5 star rating. I am a software engineer and have very little exposure to assembling a furniture of this size, it was obviously not easy but luckily there were all the parts and all the screws and pictures that I needed, with little help from my wife I was able to put together this beautiful table in little less than 2 hours, so people with a little more experience would probably be get done in an hour or so. I read a review which stated that someone had to spend 6 hours to assemble this table, I think the key is not to apply your brains while assembling these devices and to rely on the pictures, it would make your life very easy, also the table is pretty stable, has a nice shine and once I wiped it clean it looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it would last many years and I probably would be able to resell it in two years time ;-) , I would highly recommend this product and seller both.

For the money, this was a very nice piece of furniture. This changing table is really beautiful once it is put together. It took quite a while to build, however, and was not the easiest construction I have ever undertaken. Also, now that my daughter is 9 months old she is already out-growing the table in terms of length– and she is only an average height girl. So if I were to do it over, I would probably sacrifice some of the beauty for a slightly longer and more functional table.

I was really upset when I opened the box and found that this piece of furniture is all fiberboard. I was really surprised to find that once we got it put together it was actually fairly sturdy. I was very happy to find that it matched the crib we bought. There was a few dings on the product due to shipping but they were small enough that I didn’t even bother trying to get new pieces. Over a good changing table for the price.

We bought this from Amazon based on most of the positive reviews I read about it on their site. Unfortunately, my husband and I were unable to share their experiences! We did not find it easy to assemble, it looks super cheap and I’m not sure how comfortable I’m going to be placing our soon-to-be-born son on it for changing!

We are not morons by any means and I am quite proficient when it comes to DIY assembly, but it took me two hours just to get the drawers “together.” None of the screw and peg holes lined up properly, so I had to jimmy-rig most of it, use wood glue and hope for the best. My husband did the rest of the table with a bit of assistance from me, but he also had issues.

My biggest complaint, however, is the quality. South Shore includes a “disclaimer” sheet about the colors not being consistent because you won’t see these sides and it’s greener for the environment…no, they’re just cheap and reusing leftover pieces. The front of the drawer is “cherry,” but the rest of the drawer is a blonde oak-ish veneer. My girlfriend’s son’s changing table drawers are like that, too, but they’re REAL WOOD! Also, the company includes a stain marker with the table because half of it is already scratched up when you open it!

All in all, I’m glad I didn’t pay a lot for this and received free shipping, otherwise I would be very angry! Yes, I should’ve called South Shore to complain, but let’s be honest – it’s usually just a waste of time and I don’t have the time or desire to take it apart (good luck considering the glue!) and ship it back (if they would even accept it). This was the first time and perhaps the last time I’ll buy furniture online.
